About Carol

I joined iMAB in 2001 as a mortgage and protection adviser. I love helping my clients ( and now some of their children, friends and families) to get through what can be a minefield of lenders jargon and numbers.

But over and above that I like to think we make that difference, as the one person on your side and will always go way beyond just the mortgage and insurance. If I don’t know the answer I know where to point you to who will.

Outside of advising I love getting outdoors walking and training, in my now home of Wath in South Yorkshire. ( I visit the office in Watford and St Albans, but these days zoom, teams and phones are for more time efficient for you the customers) I am passionate about most things I do but friends are always at the heart of it.

I have been in the mortgage industry since I started with NatWest in 1994. I joined iMAB in 2002 and opened up Independent Mortgage Advice Bureau (Letchworth) Ltd in 2008, which later moved to Stevenage Old Town in 2010.

I am married with 2 grown up children and live in St Neot. I enjoy cricket, football and spending time with my family.

I have worked in the financial services since 2009, working for companies such as HSBC & NatWest. I started working as a Mortgage Adviser with NatWest in 2011 covering areas such as Ealing, Uxbridge, Eastcote, Pinner and Amersham. I joined iMAB in June 2016 as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser which has allowed me to help even more people achieve their dreams. I help First Time Buyers, Home Movers, clients remortgaging, and those with BTL, self-employed income, adverse credit and many more.

Outside of work I love travelling, camping and being close to nature. I love learning about other cultures and religions as it is enriching and helps with understanding of others. I also enjoy live music, cinema and theatre.

I am also fluent in Polish and happy to conduct meetings in this language.

After working for Lloyds TSB for 7 years, I joined iMAB in 2007 as an Independent Mortgage & Protection Consultant in the St Albans Office, Hertfordshire.

Having been in this role for a number of years, I have a multitude of loyal clients; many self-employed and clients that work as contractors, for whom I’ve arranged many mortgages on both a residential and buy to let basis. I continue to arrange mortgages for these clients, even years after they have moved away from the area and now live in various parts of the country.

I live in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire with my 2 sons. I love and appreciate the time I spend with my family, but in my own time, I enjoy running, listening to music and playing touch rugby.

I have been a mortgage adviser in Stevenage and Knebworth for 18 years and have dealt with well over 1200 mortgages throughout Hertfordshire and Essex and other parts of the country. I’m fully qualified to offer protection advice as well as mortgage advice and can also provide Wills to give an all-encompassing service. I am able to offer evening appointments as well as home visits to assist around work schedules.

I’m married (18 years and counting) with two kids, whose football teams I coach. I also run a team in the local 7-a-side league and enjoy playing veterans’ football. I like to spend my hard earned salary on Lego, to help unwind, and travelling with the family, when we are able to again!

My passion lies in Later Life lending, knowing that this can help people nearing or entering retirement stay in their own homes.

I joined the admin iMAB team in 2014 to kickstart my career and learn a new industry as I started off with little knowledge other than having my own personal mortgage and protection insurance. Over the years I have thrived in my role continuing to develop new skills which now allows me to support on the processing of applications for the advisers.

I find my role rewarding, no two days are the same, and the satisfaction of knowing I have helped a client complete on a purchase or remortgage is invaluable. The pandemic has also allowed me to develop other skills such as learning to work remotely and communicating with the iMAB team without being able to see them face to face. I have also found walking my dog at the weekend has been a great way for me to keep fit and ensure I am focusing on my wellbeing in such unprecedented times.

I have been working at iMAB since 2016 originally starting as a Receptionist. I have since progressed to a Mortgage & Protection Administrator working at both our St Albans & Watford Branches.

My attention to detail gives me the ability to be thorough and accurate whilst processing all types of applications from Residential Mortgages, Buy to Lets, and Protection. I am eager to help clients get through to completion by liaising with all parties creating the smoothest transition possible.

I joined the Halifax in 1992 and have worked in financial services ever since. In January 1997, I made the decision to leave the bank and open the first iMAB office, as I wanted to offer customers independent mortgage advice on the high street. Thankfully, twenty years later, that still looks the right decision!

I am married with two young sons and a house full of animals. I occasionally manage to fit in a bit of football, golf or tennis when I’m allowed!
